The WALRUS & CARPENTER Gift Shop is up for sale!

‘’The time has come, the Walrus said, to talk of many things. Of shoes and ships and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings. And a Gift Shop in the old red house, filled with the finest things!’’

The WALRUS & CARPENTER
Gift Shop is up for sale!

I have decided it is TIME to Retire and as much as anyone,
I would love for this shop to continue operating!

This could be an opportunity to own your own business or enter into a partnership with creative friends with similar interests? It’s been a long, rewarding run of 27 years that started with a partnership of 7 farm women.  However the time has come to pass the ‘’torch’’ to others that would bring renewed energy and fresh ideas to the shop and renewed fun and joy in running their own business!  Could that person or group of women include you?  Please consider passing this message along to any friends or acquaintances that you think might be interested. It would be a shame to have to close down after all we have accomplished over the years! I, Marlene Quiring, would be glad to discuss with anyone the ins and outs of operating this business, which includes the house and lot and some or all of the stock as preferred.  You can contact me at the shop at 403 783-5355 or my cell 403 783-1723 or email me at marlenequiring@hotmail.com. To find out more regarding the financial end of it please contact Jane Wierzba at Remax Reality, cell 403 358-8770. Or click here to see the listing.
shop-early-for-the-holidaysThe store will keep running full force into the Fall and Christmas season with the usual selections of great gifts and home accents, plus of course all the great Christmas Candy and Stocking Stuffers that we always carry. The 2017 PINE RIDGE CALENDARS have been here for several months, so I suggest that you stop in soon to make your selection.

THE ONLY CHANGE WILL BE THAT Christmas will come extra early this year, so come and start your Christmas Shopping soon!! As you read this some Christmas Stock is already out!! An added bonus right now is  that many of the antique and collectible display pieces, plus more that have been in storage are being offered for sale. Since they are private pieces, they are offered for sale with NO GST.

If by January 1st 2017 there has been no interest in anyone purchasing the shop, I will be re-evaluating things and may be looking at a Quick Liquidation of stock that is left….so will keep you all posted on that.

In the meantime, plan a visit to Walrus & Carpenter to take advantage of the very best selection of EVERYTHING!!

Best Regards, Marlene

SPRING HAS SPRUNG

Spring HAS sprung, rather early for Alberta but nevertheless it is here with green grass, dandelions and weather that changes by the hour! YES, IT IS ALBERTA!!
Small business’s including Walrus and Carpenter have all taken a hit along with the oil market and low Canadian Dollar, plus now the dry weather and the devastating fires, especially in Fort MacMurray. Our thoughts are with all those who have lost homes and income at this time.
